7.62x39mm surrogate test, 120.5 grain, 2,400 ft/s
5.56x45mm M193, 55 grain, 3,250 ft/s
RF2: All RF1 rounds (7.62x51mm M80, 7.62x39mm surrogate, 5.56x45mm M193)
5.56x45mm M855 “green tip,” 61.8 grain, 3,115 ft/s

Materials & Build Quality
Arctos rifle plates are crafted from premium materials to balance protection, weight, and durability. Ceramic options deliver armor piercing stopping power, and polyethylene composites provide buoyant, ultra‐light solutions for maritime and extended patrol operations.
Armor plates include different combinations of materials such as: alumina-carbide, boron-carbide or silicon-carbide ceramics, Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE) such as: Spectra fiber, goldflex, or aramids like kevlar.
Plates may also include a backing layer of energy absorbing material like D30.
